Anti-Itch Herbal Rinse for Your Dog

Anti-Itch Herbal Rinse for Your Dog

Pollen season has become increasingly intense in recent years and is no longer limited to spring.
While there are stronger and milder periods, in reality we need to expect potential pollen allergies all the way until November.

Unfortunately, during these months there isn’t much many dog owners can do when their dogs suffer—except trying to relieve the constant itching.

The recipe I’m sharing with you today has already helped many dogs reduce intense itching and significantly speed up wound healing.
In many cases, when used together with internal My Bulldog Herbs herbal supplements, it brought fast and visible improvement.

How do you prepare it? What do you need?

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sage (Salvia officinalis)
  • 3 tbsp calendula (Calendula officinalis)
  • 3 tbsp nettle (Urtica dioica)
  • 3 tbsp Himalayan salt
  • Coconut oil or hemp seed oil

Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients (herbs and salt) thoroughly in a glass jar—you can shake it well.

Boil water, take 1 tablespoon of the mixture, place it in a cup, and pour hot water over it.
Let it steep for 20 minutes.

After that, you can use it in two ways:

1️⃣ Rinse / paw soak
Dilute the infusion with about 3 liters of water, enough for your dog to stand in or for you to gently pour over affected areas.

2️⃣ Cotton pad wipe
After the 20-minute steeping time, dilute the infusion to 500 ml and use it to gently wipe irritated areas with cotton pads.
Stored in the refrigerator, it keeps for 2 days.

👉 Apply oils only after rinsing!
If your dog already has sores, oils help prevent the skin from tightening and cracking, which can otherwise lead to more wounds from scratching.
